Welcome
Hey guys and welcome. Summer is around the corner, and personally I am very excited for this upcoming year of scuba diving. My scuba gear has been screaming my name through my closet door all week. And I cannot wait to unleash it. For information about me and my experience with diving visit the About ME section. I made this blog as a way for those who want to learn how to scuba dive, beginners and advanced divers to share dive sites, tips on what they like for gear, and where they like to go diving. I will also be posting regularly about differnt wreck dives, beginner dives and other secret spots, for those who wanna see what New England really has to offer for Scuba Divers. I hope you get alot out of this blogsite, and gets you as excited for this upcoming season as I am.
I think that the about me provided as clear and interesting description of the author and why she is writing the blog. She explains how she began scuba diving and how long she has been doing it for. Brianna also explains that New England offers a wide array of diving spots that are often overlooked. The purpose and focus is clearly shown in the description where she talks about local dive sites, how to get certified and where to get scuba gear. The first post did offer a good jumping off point. The author talks about how summer is approaching and how her upcoming posts will inform the readers of diving info. Overall, I think this is a well organized blog.
The about me section provided clear information about the author and why she is writing about this topic. The about me section was interesting and really caught my attention especially by adding an anecdote as to how she got into diving. The description really let me know what was going to be discussed in the blog and how she was going to go about doing it. Her first blog was very interesting and attention grabbing. The picture really caught my eye and made me want to read her blog.
Hey guys my name is Brianna and I love scuba diving. I have only been certified for a year and not living on a tropical island can make it seem like there are not any real opportunities to go diving. However, just because there is not 100 ft visibility does not mean it cannot be fun. I live in Rhode Island and currently go to College at University of Rhode Island. I first became interested in Scuba Diving a few years ago back in high school. I began to talk to family and friends about diving and did not realize how many people I had known were already certified and the experiences they said they had and what an amazing feeling it was to be underwater, was beyond words. I started taking out books and learning more and more about scuba diving, when finally for my graduation gift, my parents signed me up for classes. I was so excited, the minute I put that mask on and took my first breath underwater I was hooked. I wanted the dive right in (no pun intended) and never stop. A lot of people are taken aback by the amount of risks and horror stories but if scuba diving is done right, there is nothing to fear.
