So many people want to go diving, but do not know where to get started. Here is a list, by state, of different dive shops that offer classes for beginners as well as advanced. (Rhode Island and Massachusettes)
RHODE ISLAND
Anderson's Ski & Dive: is a Dive and Ski shop in East Greenwich on Post Road. It sells equipment and offers classes for advanced and beginner, however, this is an online course, which would work if you have a busy schedule and are unable to meet at a set time every week. Their website is at www.ski-dive.com
East Bay Dive Center: This is where I received my certification, their shop is in Warren on Church st. They offer classes for beginners as well as advanced. Every year they also hold dives for those who were certified by them or those who might just come along for the dive. They sell all equipment as well as rent by day to those who do not want to own. They will refill nitrox and normal tanks as well. There website is www.eastbaydivecenter.com
Giant Stride Dive Shop: is a dive shop in Warwick, they also offer classes for beginners and advanced. They also offer classes for speciality dives, as well as rent and sell all equipment. www.giantstridediveshop.com
MASSACHUSETTES
South Shore Divers: has been instructing people how to dive since 1951. With experience like this you know they are going to have plenty of knowledge about diving for those who have always thought about it but are nervous to make the plunge. They are located in Weymouth and their website is www.southshoredivers.com
Divers Market: Has two locations, one in Raynam the other in Plymouth. THey offer all classes not only with an instructor but online as well. They also take major trips every year, this year they plan on going to the Florida Keys. www.diversmarket.com
North Atlantic Scuba: Located in Marshfield on Ocean Ave, not only does it offer classes but on its website it offers dive conditions for local and statewide locations. It offers rental and equipment to be sold. The website is www.northatlanticscuba.com
I will be posting for the rest of New England shortly.
